Philip Halford-MacLeod, Friends of the Scottish Opera
The Eris Quartet is dedicated to bringing auld Scottish classical music back to the concert scene where it belongs. An equally important goal of the group is the promotion of new music, this is achieved through collaborations with up and coming composers. Eris always aims to put together a diverse concert programme by combining old favourites with lesser known gems and introducing audiences to new repertoire from the 1700s to the 21st Century. The group has performed in venues from Edinburgh and Fife up to the Highlands, and has so far raised hundreds of pounds in ticket sales for charities Alzheimer Scotland and CHAS.
